Fall Updates

Wow. It has been 20 days since my last post. A busy girl I have been. Let's see...Travis made his first big land sale. We were THRILLED! It was his first listed property. 166 acres in Lindale, TX. God provided right when we really needed it. Thanks God! My parents came up to Tyler 2 weekends ago. That was a lot of fun getting to see them and hang out. My Papabear bought Travis his very own "Landman" cowboy hat. Travis couldn't be more proud. It's a beautiful dark brown Stetson. Looks great on my Landman I must say. The past 3 weeks has been filled with Ranger Baseball. We watched every game in both the American League Championship games and the World Series. We were sad when the Rangers couldn't pull out the win, but they played great and came a far way. We will get them next year boys! Work is still going great. I am getting the hang of things pretty well now. I still have my insurance questions though. On Halloween day (Monday) all the staff is dressing up. I am excited to see how creative everyone is! I will have to put some pictures up. I am getting so excited for the Holidays. I cannot believe Thanksgiving is just around the corner. So insane how fast this year has gone. It seems like it was just last month that Travis and I got engaged. It's crazy to think it will be a full year since the engagement on December 20th.  Hmmm...what else...Oh! I made a fall wreath! It is very cute! I made it with fabric roses. Very adorbs. I also panted an "H" on a pumpkin. Of course for the Heim's. :)  I think that's it for now. That was a lot of updates in one post. Hope everyone is having a wonderful Fall!

Antique Shopping

Travis and I took a little trip today to Athens, TX...AKA the Black Eyed Pea Capital of the World. Although our day had nothing to do with black eyed peas, our day did indeed involve antique malls. One that was especially cute was called Winnie and Tulula's. I heard about this shop from a girl at work.   This place was simply adorable and was filled with all types of treasures. From handmade finds, furniture, and very old collectables. We both really enjoyed looking around. I came across a green iron magazine rack and a tiny little lamp that is painted in a light baby pink...which I think I will end up painting another color that has yet to be determined. Both were wonderful finds. At another antique store next door, Travis came across some vintage President Kennedy pins that he couldn't leave behind. It was overall a super fun day. I am glad that we had the time to take a trip to Athens for some much needed time spent together and a relaxing day.
We also came across a good friend of ours....Dobby.

Happy Birthday to my Dearest Friend

Bree/Briana/Breebias/Breeb -
All the same wonderful person. Today is your very special day. It's your BIRTHDAY!!! I cannot believe that another year has come and gone. I am so thankful for the time that we got to spend together while in school, I wouldn't change a thing about those hilarious times. You know I always wish we were nearer to each other, but it's nice to know that I always have a fun state/ my home state that I can come visit. Of course you are always welcome in our little town/bigger town.

You are a strong, beautiful, smart woman. You are kind and comforting. I am honored to call you my best friend. I know I can always count on you, because you have proven that to me time and time again. Bless you on this day that is your birthday. A day that is far more special than any other day. Bless you countless times. Always know that I am thinking and praying for you.

All my love,

Fall Conference

This past weekend Travis and I had the opportunity to go with our RUF group to Fall Conference. It was a weekend full of fun, fellowship, and heart touching sermons. I got to know a couple of our newer girls a lot better. I love RUF Conferences because it isn't just our specific RUF that attends, it's actually a bunch of different universities with RUFs and this past one was for Texas Universities. We got to play all types of sports, my favorite being flag football! I got the bruises to prove how much I loved it. I was so thankful for a little break from the everyday routines of life. Our speaker for the weekend was Rickie Jones from Tulsa, OK. God used him this past weekend. The sermons were amazing. All four sermons were over the book of Proverbs. The series was entitled "The Four People You Will Meet in the Proverbs." Each sermon fit so well with the next one. I laughed, I cried, and I felt and still feel the convictions of these sermons. I was truly blessed for going on this conference. I praise God for the words that I heard.

Shout Out

To Mr. Kevin Morris who spent almost his whole day helping Travis and I work on our Civic. We were having major woes with our headlights, and have been for some time. For some reason only our brights were working on the car. Luckly, Kevin knew exactly what to do to fix our little issue. He also helped us pick out a new battery for the little civ. Little did we know it the battery was almost dead. Literally almost dead.  We are now in great shape! Couldn't have done it without you!!

Until then,
 and T.

RED

Today was a tiring day, but it also brought about great things. We are practicing saving our money, and trying to sell Travis' 1990 Toyota Camry which has not been running since before the wedding in June. Today someone bought it! Thankfully, that gave us a little bit more cash in our pockets! I don't know why I am always astonished by God's faithfulness in our lives. Every time I begin to fear the unknown of life, He pulls me back in and shows me time and time again that He is my creator and He has chosen me to be his daughter. He loves me. He wants the best for Travis and I. We feel the love. :)
I have exciting news! I dyed my hairs! I decided to venture back into the natural roots of RED! I am loving it! I forgot how much fun redheads really do have! Very happy with my decision. I should also end up saying money in the long run too....not having to keep up with my blonde highlights. yay!
Travis and I are looking forward to going on Fall conference with RUF in about a week. We know it will be a ton of fun. It's always amazing to join with the other RUFs around the state to worship our God together. I am also looking forward to getting to know some of our new RUF members too!
I made this one last Christmas.  CUTE! :)
To add more to my busy schedule, I am thinking about starting an Etsy shop for my ribbon wreaths. I have always wanted to start a shop on Esty...and I think soon would be a good time. Also another way to make a little cash on the side. Any thoughts on this? Would you be interested in purchasing a ribbon wreath?  I was thinking I could make all different colors for the different holidays year round. Different materials would be an option too. Such as fabric and yarn. Let me know what you think? I would love some input.
It's starting to cool down here in Tyler. Praise the Lord! Now if we can just get some more rain! Keep crossing your fingers!!
